After three beautiful years of gathering to honor the Solstice through song and connection, Illuminate the Night is growing into something new.

This year, on the Winter Solstice itself, we’re creating a truly magical evening of music, movement, and community at the gorgeous Canyon Wren Recital Hall at Icicle Creek Center for the Arts.

What began as a guided concert has become a full evening journey, a space to listen deeply, move freely, and celebrate the light within the dark.

Featuring Shine Song Collective, along with Benjamin Jay Thomas, Nora B. Heath, A Hundred Miles, Terry Pooler, and more, plus an ecstatic dance journey led by DJ Klarity to carry us into embodied celebration before we close the night in gentle song together.

Each year, this gathering reminds us that even in the darkest times, we are invited to bring our light, to share it, and to remember that we don’t walk through the night alone.

Flow of the Evening

• 6:30–7:45 | Opening Performances: Heart-centered sets from Benjamin Jay Thomas, A Hundred Miles, Nora Heath, Terry Pooler and more.

• 8:00–9:15 | Shine Song Collective: Guided-concert experience with songs, poems, and moments of communal singing.

• 9:15–10:15 | Ecstatic Dance: Dance journey curated by DJ Klarity, accessible and welcoming for all.

• 10:15–11:00 | Closing Circle of Song: Intimate, gentle singing and shared music to send us into the solstice night.
